Society Seeks Membership

The Executive Board of the Nanaimo District Senior Citizens Housing Development Society encourages public membership in the society for both volunteerism and for a personally enriching experience.

We have an important role in helping our elderly by ensuring they retain their independence through quality housing and care options.  Our contribution to others acts to ultimately help ourselves as we grow older and more vulnerable.

The Society has a constitution and accompanying bylaws to create a foundation appealing to a diversity of individual interests.  As a society we believe that it is important to encourage diversity and reflect the nature of our community.

We, like many organizations, have tremendous challenges to overcome and strongly believe that we cannot provide sustainable services, programs and infrastructure without a good and dependable business model.

To ensure our success and meet the needs of the elderly we look to our members to bring their skills, passion, enthusiasm and commitment to ensure Kiwanis Village maintains its focus, financial credibility, direction and support as an important part of its contribution to the needs of Nanaimo.

Dues are ten dollars annually and membership forms are available.
