Kiwanis House and the Kiwanis Soroptimist Suites are registered Assisted Living settings under BC’s ILBC program administered by BC Housing in conjunction with the Vancouver Island Health Authority.  Rent is calculated at 70% of resident’s net monthly income.

Originally an intermediate care facility, Kiwanis House was the province’s first Assisted Living conversion in 2004 and now boasts 15 private one-bedroom and 30 studio suites with patios or french balconies.  Meals are served in our Fireside Restaurant and family and guests are welcome at any time without prior arrangements.  Daily activities are offered in the Frith-Radcliffe Auditorium. 

Kiwanis Soroptimist Suites, opened in January 2008, offers 37 spacious one-bedroom units with patios or decks.  Meals and activities take place in our bright and open Multi-Purpose room with large adjoining patio.

All our Assisted Living units offer fridges, large showers with grab bars, lots of closet space and storage facilities.  Some also have cooking facilities and microwaves.  Laundry facilities and scooter parking are available in either building at no extra charge.

Personal Assistance Services are arranged either through the Vancouver Island Health Authority, or through private agencies
