Kiwanis Manor 

A new standard in subsidized independent living for seniors

Opened in May 2001 in affiliation with BC Housing, Kiwanis Manor offers 4 wheelchair-accessible and 26 wheelchair-adaptable one-bedroom suites. Each has a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining & living area, a large bathroom and spacious deck or patio. Floor plans vary between 618 sq. ft. and 676 sq. ft.

• Rent is subsidized by BC Housing to a maximum of 30% of resident’s gross monthly income;
• Applicants must be a minimum of 55 years of age, earn a combined income of less than $26,500 per annum and be a resident of BC for at least one year to qualify;
• A bright, well-furnished activity lounge is available for residents’ use;
• Rent includes heat and water. A $25-per-month surcharge is added to cover hydro costs;
• Telephone, internet, and cablevision services are optional at a nominal cost;
• Storage lockers and coin laundry are available on site;
• This is a non-smoking building
• Small pets are allowed subject to approval
